What type of video camera should an amateour buy who wants the film to look VINTAGE.?

I need something inexpensive, so a camera that is older is better. Also, if I buy an old-fashioned video camera, how do I transfer that onto a macbook?? I need lots of suggestions.

Most macbooks come with iMovie its a great beginner program and a really good cheap camera is the Flip Mino HD

well i don’t know what you mean by vintage but you could try and find a camcorder that is a few years old for a couple hundred and i would go with one that is a mini dv tape that has a firewire port and get the cord. but when it comes to an old fashioned look i would try doing that with your editor. more then likely imovie.
