How do you clean the inside viewfinder of a 35mm SLR camera?
January 28th, 2010 | by admin |I just got a Canon Al-1 35mm SLR camera from an antique store in my neighborhood and its got a bunch of junk all over the viewfinder on the inside of the camera. I tried cleaning it with a Q-tip only to end up failing to clean anything. If anyone has any suggestions on how to clean it besides taking it to get cleaned professionally, please tell me. Thank you.
If it is on the inside there is no way to clean it from the outside. You will need to take it in to a repair shop. It could probably use a good cleaning inside and out and they can also replace any deteriorated seals that might cause light leaks which will ruin your shots.
