    I loved the 18-200mm but if you are just starting out the 18-55mm is a great lens. Once you get better then you won’t mind spending more money on lenses.

    the d5000 has the same sensor as the d90. The only thing you pay for with the d90 is a more rugged body. If you are just starting out I’d get the d5000, and then maybe get a used/refurbished d300s/d400 next year

    Theres the canon tsi (i think, not exactly sure on the canon names), and the nikon d90 and d5000.
