on ‘3rd-world countries’ using headlights… ) Wonder if M13 could ever survive Vietnam traffic; he’d probably need ants’ GPS. ) n I thought traffic at peak time in LA, NY, SF, n some other parts of the world is suffocating. ) Main cities rarely make my sightseeing list. People who live in world’s top cities w/ worst traffic jams sure breathe a whole lot easier.

Is it still spitting on Rainyday Man? ;o) I like rain (more than snow n fog), but not all year round like in England. “The sun never sets on the British Empire” must be 1 of the explanations to why England is so morbid n depressing most of the time? ) jk don’t ban me.

lol i live in england and i know in the city everyone drives with their lights on if its dark or rainy. ha. dont know about anywhere else. but 90% of people in england are dicks anyway. im not proud to be british . id rather be from anywhere else in the world..

Statistics in …
Statistics in austria show that after applying the light-on duty more pedestrians and cyclists were harmed, so they disbanded this law again.
Although i don’t really trust that statistic, because some sites say, that “it slightly increased” the incidents with those two groups it’s more or less easy to understand if you think about it yourself:

You start to expect everything to have a light on, so you may overlook things more easily without one.

Never? Not ever? I hope you aren’t one of those drivers who ’seem’ to have their eyes closed a lot! A lot of people are less inclined to turn their lights on during the day, if it’s gone incredibly dark, raining hard and vision has been dramatically reduced, it’s day time thus.. no need for lights. Though fortunatelly after one puts their lights on, it has a chain effect and it’s then deemed socially okay!

Though I would say it’s rare to see drivers at night time without lights on.

Well to be honest, I do see a lot of idiots on the roads here without lights on, and most commonly it’s dark-coloured cars as well. I’m not going to defend them just because they’re British, but I don’t think it’s just limited to Britain. I drove in Ireland for years and with constant grey skies and miserable weather, it was the same situation there.
