Our crew of Bill Mitchell and Allen Fairbanks were standing on Highway 64, shooting the rock slide from this morning. Then engineers rushed them out of the road, saying the bank was unstable

    Though, I will admit that a geologist did warn the crews (they were there to clear the first rock slide) that the sounds they were hearing was the rock face moving and told them to clear the area.

    Wow that was pretty …
    Wow that was pretty impressive. My mom grew up just a few miles from this, well a mile from the in Parksville anyway, her father worked for the TVA at the powerhouses. I traveled that road many a time and never really thought much about it happening. Last time I was on that road some drunk had ran off in the river when we was on our way back from Benton to Turtle town.
