It’s ok when you consider that even a 4 year old fullframe DSLR costs at least 1000€

Sure. Get a Pentax …
.
Sure. Get a Pentax DSLR 2nd hand for about 200$, dust off your old lenses and have fun
But remember that a non-pro DSLR without a full-sized sensor acts as a 1.5x Teleconverter on analog lenses so 50 mm apears like 75 mm.

Yes, every Pentax …
Yes, every Pentax DSLR can use analog lenses with Pentax mount, no matter how old they are. Pentax-F, Pentax-FA or newer are recommended because they offer autofocus.
Sigma, Tamron, Tokina etc with Pentax mount are usable as well.

Yes, this camera is …
Yes, this camera is not the best model for sports photography, but:
* other cameras in this class do not have more buttons either
* the “10-clicks away” menu item can be reached quicker when accessing it from the bottom
* the camera has an extra LCD display at the top which many other models are missing
* the camera does support modern USM lenses, but also has a built-in focus motor to support older/classic lenses.
* the built-in shake reduction saves a lot of money on non SR/VR lenses

Don’t use alkaline batteries, use lithium batteries, or better NiMH accumulators. Mine seem to last forever.
