What do i do if my camera lenses are stuck when i turn my camera on ?
March 18th, 2010 | by admin |My camera works really good….but the lenses wont open all the way and i have to push them open with my fingers…what do i do ??? im afraid there sticky from something on it but its really annyoing and i want to fix it….HELP !?!?!
From your description, it sounds like it’s just the lens cover that’s sticking. This is usually nothing major; especially if they open when you touch them.
Take it to a local camera shop (not a place like Best Buy – a real camera shop). They can look at it & decide if anything needs a repair. I’ve fixed plenty cameras like this with a good blast of compressed air or a Q-tip with lens cleaner. If it needs a repair it probably won’t be worth it, but it’s always best to try the simple stuff before you give up.

Your camera need a good cleaning by a professional at a minimum and perhaps repair depending upon what is causing the lens to stick
